Embracing Strength Through Dependence on God
Ever feel inadequate or ashamed when you don’t know how to handle something on your own?
As men, we often fear being seen as weak when we admit that we can’t tackle everything alone. Humbling ourselves to depend on anyone, especially God, can play havoc with our egos.
However, it's crucial to understand that depending on God is not a sign of weakness; it’s a source of true strength. When we lean on Him, we tap into His infinite wisdom and power, which far surpasses our own.
The Apostle Paul reminds us of this in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” This verse underscores the beautiful truth that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. By trusting in God, we empower ourselves to face challenges with confidence rooted not in pride or self-reliance, but in the assurance that He is with us, guiding and strengthening us every step of the way.
True strength comes from knowing when to surrender our burdens to Him. There is no shame in relying on God for help; in fact, it is a courageous act that reflects our faith and trust in Him.
As men, we are constantly under attack by Satan, who seeks to undermine us in every aspect of our lives—as spiritual leaders, husbands, fathers, and friends. Don’t let him win this fight!
Use this scripture to fortify your resolve and lean on God:
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
“Be on guard; stand firm in your faith; be brave and strong. Do everything in love.”
Remember, you are not alone in this journey. Embrace the strength that comes from leaning on God, and don’t hesitate to reach out for support when you need it.
Love you guys,
