Embracing Change Through Faith: A Journey Toward Becoming a Godly Man

Many people fear change. It can produce anxiety and even physical sickness for some. But change is inevitable. We are constantly going through changes throughout our lives—some good, some not so good.

Regardless, if we are on a journey to become more Godly men, change should surely take place.

Having God in you, having Jesus in you, will change and transform your life. But it is a journey, and the journey will be challenging and require commitment.

However, when you commit your life earnestly to God and Jesus, then and only then will true change and transformation begin to take place.

What is challenging but rewarding for all of us is reading, memorizing, and meditating on God’s word and His ways. Learning how God wants us to act and live is where the rubber meets the road.

Making changes in our lives includes things like where we go, who we hang out with, how we spend our time and money, and how we talk, act, and treat others. These things are generally a true reflection of our inner being and, more importantly, the heart of who we are and who we reflect.

If God and Jesus are in our hearts, we will be more compassionate, loving, patient, kind, and not quick to anger. A Godly life can be both scary and exhilarating at the same time.

No matter where you are in your journey, ask God each day to fill you with His Holy Spirit and help you be a better man. Read, study, pray, go to church, draw closer to Him each day, and ask Him for help.

Stop trying to control your life and do everything in love. As they say, let go and let God. Surrender all of it to His ways, and in time you will see positive changes in your life.
