Stop Judging Others
Each day most of us sit in judgment of others without even realizing it. Because of this, it's very important that we become more conscious of the way we think and act toward others when it comes to judging.
Regarding judging others, the Bible says this in Matthew 7:1-7 (NIV): "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, `Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is always a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
Judging someone is not always about the topic of the judgment, it’s about the intent and the heart of it. At work, we may judge and make fun of someone by how they dress or look. Deep down we may actually be jealous of how amazing they are at their job and their performance. But God Knows our heart and what we are really judging. There are many areas each day where we inadvertently sit in judgment over someone, and don’t even realize it.
Each day we need to pray for God's help so that we don't judge anyone and try to look at others' situations through the lens of Jesus - a loving caring perspective. We must acknowledge that we understand that God already knows our heart and the real intent of our judgmental thoughts or actions
If you judge someone today or in the days to come, just stop and ask God to forgive you and start again. God will forgive us immediately and unconditionally if we mean it. Speak and act with care.
