It takes time and effort to get ready for work in the morning or to get ready if we are having a party at our house, right?
There are things to do that help us to look our best in the morning or when we are preparing for people to come over. When preparing we usually say just before the appointed time, “Ok, am I ready?”
What’s happening in our world right now is discussed specifically in the Bible. So the question at hand should be, “Are we ready for the coming of Jesus?”
We get so busy in our worldly lives that we forget to stop, take a deep breath, and ask ourselves if we are really ready.
The Bible tells us he will return like a thief in the night. We will all be surprised.
How do we get ready??
Are we living our life honoring God every second of every day or are we saying, “I will change and do that soon?” Are we reading his word trying to be more Godly? Are we praying to God asking for his help each day? Are we going to church learning more each week?
Gents, there may not be much time to get ready. Things are changing all around us. Just listen to the news of lawlessness, hate, wars, more natural disasters.
And knowing, loving, and doing the things of God are all becoming frowned upon and deemed hateful in our world today.
Here’s how the evil one is progressing his agenda:
- Division of political parties then graduating to conservatives versus liberals.
- Eventually it will be become non-Christians against Christians. It’s happening right in front of our eyes.
But the good news is we can have and enjoy life while we are waiting. The answer is to be ready.
Ask Jesus’s to come into your heart and world. Live your life, every second of every day, honoring God striving always to do the right thing. Show love for others and do not be afraid to say out loud, “God has blessed us” or “because of God this happened.”
Each day when you get up thank God and ask him to help you be ready because any day could be the day God decides to make a triumphant return and if we are not ready it will be too late.
